De gebruikte betonblokken zijn 10 centimeter dik welke op de door Wim genoemde afbeeldingen redelijk goed zijn in te schatten. Een brugdeel werd met vier hyd.vijzels per sessie 22 cm omhoog gebracht. Toch heb ik nog enige twijfel doordat op de rand van de foto's de naam v. Waning staat. Die naam zou je op de de N.V. Koninklijke Rotterdamsche Beton- & Aannemingmaatschappij, v/h Van Waning kunnen betrekken. Aangezien die niet bij de verhoging van de Moerdijk/Spoorbrug waren betrokken omdat de Spoorwegen dat in eigen beheer hebben gedaan onder leiding van R.L. Beelen, brugopzichter bij de N.S. en de verhoging op de vaste wal werd door een dochterinstelling van de N.S. gedaan, te weten N.V. Spoorwegbouw. Maar ja, mijn moeder zegt altijd: "Er zijn meer hondjes die Fikkie heten" :)
Brabantse kant 3 meter werd verhoogd i.v.m. het vervallen van het draaigedeelte in 1934. Opvallend of toeval is dezelfde steengrootte en metselwerk te zien op 555_13885 rechtsonder. Lees ook het commentaar van Piet Bijl bij 552_300915.
